BRITTANY BARBER, MD

Dr. Barber graduated from the University of Alberta Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2016 and holds a Masters' degree in Surgical Science and Practice from the University of Oxford. She completed her training in head and neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstruction at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington, where her practice is dedicated to surgery for patients with head and neck cancers, including oral cavity cancer. She is also the Fellowship Director for the head and neck surgical oncology fellowship, where she teachers and performs ablative and microvascular reconstructive surgery, robotic surgery, and endocrine and salivary surgery. Her research interests are dedicated to oral microbiome and immune signatures in oral cavity cancers, as well as survival outcomes in head and neck cancer.
